100 years ago Venezuela was the only export-market for the company Gathmann. The founder Wilhelm Gathmann sent the merchandise from Pforzheim to his brother in Caracas who was working in the family’s jewelry shop „Gathmann Hermanos“.
He even travelled himself visiting other customers in the heart of the country to sell them German jewelry. On these trips he was riding on a mule with the jewelry packed in his saddle bags.
A lot has changed since those days! Today Gathmann is exporting jewelry into more than 50 countries of the world. Our main markets are USA, Canada, Japan, Caribbean, Australia, Scandinavia, Southamerica and South Africa.

The Caribbean Islands are one of the most attractive and appealing holiday destinations on earth. Millions of tourists and a strong local market guarantee excellent business conditions for the luxury industry.
Gathmann has been travelling in the Caribbean since the seventies, visiting the Bahamas, Bermuda, Puerto Rico and 17 other islands. We have the privileg and joy to work with many jewelers for two generations.

Even after decades of recession and struggeling economy Japan is still a market with huge potential. Gathmann was one of the first jewerly companies that began establishing business-relationships after the liberalisation of the gold market in 1974.
Trustworthiness and patience are the key factors for success in Japan. By our continous presence in the market through Gathmann Japan in Tokyo we succeeded in building reliable relationships with our customers. This is especially valuable in difficult times.

In the United States Gathmann is represented since 1990. Two salesmen are visiting the customers frequently throughout the year with the new collections.
We are also exhibiting at the jewelry shows in Las Vegas and Tuscon. Our main markets are California and the Midwest. But also in Texas, Florida and many other states we work together with prestigous jewelry stores.
Our office in Phoenix/AZ guarantees a perfect after-sales service.

20.000 km is the distance that our salesman has to travel in order to visit our customers in the Fifth Continent of the earth.
For many years Gathmann has been working with the most prestiguous jewelers in Melbourne, Sidney, Perth, Adelaide und Brisbane. Gathmann-jewelry is also well appreciated in New Zealand and Tasmania . We are visiting our customers there on a regular base.

For many years the Scandinavian countries have enjoyed a solid and growing economy.
Our main markets are in Sweden, Denmark and Finnland. We also work with the most important jewelers in Island.
Every spring and fall our customers are visited by our sales representative.

The history of our company began 100 years ago in Venezuela.
In the meantime we are exporting mainly to Colombia, Chile, Peru, Uruguay and Bolivia. It is a great joy to work with the most renowned jewelers in each country.
We are travelling regularly to South America to visit our customers with our current collections. We also invite our customers to join us for presentations in Basel and Miami.

South Africa’s economy is by far the strongest and most developed one on the whole African continent.
